We are excited to share two major milestones from our NSF-funded research on invasive hydrilla in the Connecticut River!
First, our dataset has been published through the Environmental Data Initiative (EDI) and is now available for other researchers to access and use. Preparing data for publication involves more than simply uploading measurements. Over the past several months, we've worked to organize, quality-check, and document the data so that others can understand and reproduce our work.
Second, we've submitted a manuscript to a peer-reviewed scientific journal! The paper examines how invasive hydrilla and its removal may influence carbon cycling and greenhouse gas dynamics in the Connecticut River. The manuscript will now go through peer review, where other scientists evaluate our methods, interpretations, and conclusions.
These are exciting steps toward sharing the results of our research. Stay tuned for more updates!
